God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons -- God the Father; God the Son; and God the Holy Spirit. God the Father, as Creator of heaven and earth, is perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, and measureless in power and love. He mercifully cares about the affairs of men, He hears and answers prayer, and He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through faith in Jesus Christ. Genesis 1:1,26,27; Genesis 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is God's eternal and only begotten Son, who possesses the same nature, attributes and perfection as God the Father, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus became in every respect a true man, possessing all the essential characteristics of human nature. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We also believe in His sinless life; His death on a cross for our sins; His bodily resurrection from the dead; His ascension into heaven; His priestly intercession on behalf of His people; and in His return from heaven to establish His Kingdom upon the earth. Matthew 1:22,23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; John 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14,15; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4; Romans 1:3,4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14,15; Titus 2:13
Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead, who is co-equal and co-eternal with God. He regenerates believers, baptizes them into the body of Christ, indwells every believer, guides and empowers believers, provides spiritual gifts which may be used by believers to minister to the church, and seals forever those who have been born again through faith in Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16,17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:1
The Bible
We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, without error and complete as the revelation of God's will for salvation, and the supreme and final authority in all matters to which they speak. 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20, 21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105,160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5
Man, Sin and Salvation
We believe that man was created by God in His own image; that he sinned and thereby incurred physical, spiritual and eternal death, which is separation from God; that as a consequence, all human beings are born with a sinful nature and are sinners by choice and therefore under condemnation. We believe that those who repent and forsake sin and trust Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and become new creatures, delivered from condemnation and receive eternal life. Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8,9; John 14:6, John 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1
The Church
We believe that the Church is the spiritual body of which Jesus Christ is the Head. We believe that the true Church is comprised of all persons who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. We believe that this body expresses itself in local assemblies whose members have voluntarily united together for the purposes of worship, instruction, fellowship, evangelism and service. The ordinances of the local church are the believer's baptism and the Lord's Supper. We also believe in the interdependence of local churches and the mutual submission of believers to each other in love. We believe that each local church is self-governing in function and must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority in matters of spiritual doctrine and worship. Acts 2:41-42,47; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29; 1 Corinthians 12; 1 Timothy 3:1-15; 1 Peter 5:1-4
Last Things
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and lost, the eternal existence of all people either in heaven or in hell and in divine judgments, rewards and punishments. John 3:16; John 2:25; John 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; 1 John 5:11-12; Matthew 25:31-46
